What it means to be sexually free.
What does it mean to be sexually free? It’s good to think about this question so that you can know what it means to you. You may have heard different opinions about this Choma, and I understand it can be a complicated topic- so here’s some advice from me.
What it means
Sexual freedom means different things to different people, and there’s no right or wrong way to express your identity.
Being sexually free means that people can wear what they want to without being bullied or victimized for it. It also means that people can be attracted to whoever they’re attracted to and express this freely. This is especially important for members of the LGBTQIA community.
Some people feel free by waiting until marriage to have sex, while others prefer to not have sex at all. You see Choma, freedom means doing what feels right and what makes you happy, without fear of judgement. It’s also important to remember that freedom means not judging others for their choices as well.
What it doesn’t mean
Feeling free and comfortable to express your sexuality is a great thing, Choma. However, it is also important for us to take care of our physical and mental health, don’t you think? Remember that if you’re feeling pressured into acting a certain way, then you aren’t freely making a choice. Sexual freedom should make you happy, confident and empowered - so if something is making you feel the opposite, then maybe it isn’t the best thing for you.
It’s always good to wait before getting intimate with someone, and to maintain your own rules for comfort and safety. If you’re feeling uncomfortable in a certain situation, remember your right to say no.
If sexual liberation means being sexually active to you, then always remember to practice safe sex by using a condom. You can learn how to use a male or a female condom by reading my articles on that. However, it’s good to wait before you become sexually active, especially if you’re still young. Give yourself time to learn as much as you can about sex and decide what you’re comfortable with. Don’t feel ashamed if you’re different from your friends or schoolmates- the most important thing is to be happy with your own choices.
In a perfect world, we would be able to express ourselves sexually, to wear what we want to wear and go where we want to go without fear. But unfortunately, crime and assault are a reality in our world. It is important for you to express yourself and be free without putting yourself in a dangerous environment Choma.
Before doing anything intimate or sexual, it’s good to know the risks involved so you can decide if it’s something you really want to do. For example, sexting has many risks associated with it, so while it may seem harmless at the time, remember that any photo or video you send out or post online can be saved and shared, which could affect you negatively in future. If you’re ever unsure about something, you can search Choma.com to find information on a specific topic, or you can get in touch with me directly and I’ll do my best to answer your questions.
Sexuality is a very personal thing, and no one has the right to judge anyone else on what they do in their private lives. What’s important is that we stay safe, healthy and happy, no matter how we choose to express ourselves.
