As a society that is slowly fighting for LGBTQIA rights and seeking an inclusive democracy for everyone, there is a lot that we can still learn. If you are part of the LGBTQIA community, an ally or simply interested in the LGBTQIA culture, then here are a few Instagram accounts to follow.

Janet Mock is a writer, TV host and Transgender rights activist who uses her voice to create visibility for the LGBTQIA community. Her Instagram page is all about inspiration, the glitz, glamour and high fashion.

Bujy is one of the South African socialites – who is the most confident in the LGBTQIA community as well as the entertainment industry. His Instagram is all about body positivity, freedom over your own skin and absolute happiness.

Devin-Norelle is a writer, model and activist who identifies as non-binary (not exclusively feminine or masculine). His Instagram is a collection of social justice movements (like LGBTQIA movements) and pop culture.

Gender fluids is an open account that takes submissions from the LGBTQIA community from all over the world. The page celebrates LGBTQIA love, transformations and identity.

Danielle A. Cooper is one person to follow if you’re looking for some fashion, lifestyle and travel inspiration. Her aim is to celebrate and explore her personal style while also using it as a tool to bring awareness to women in menswear.

The good thing about social media platforms is that they are now used as a connecting tool for people from all sorts of backgrounds. It also helps educate everyone by creating awareness of social issues that were once rejected, and most importantly, by honouring the LGBTQIA community.
